This May, 100 Million activists across the world raised their voices in support of the millions of children and young people facing the worst forms of violence. Together, we demanded that all children realise their right to be SAFE, especially the most vulnerable, who face multiple forms of discrimination and receive the least support.
GLOBAL MOMENT OF CONNECTION
For International Day of Families on May 15th, young people across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas spoke out against violence for our very first Moment of Global Connection. They called on their communities to open their eyes to violence and extend their hands to those who are not safe, even in the places designed to protect them. From messages in chalk, posters in their community, digital creations and events with those most affected, young people came together in Kenya to the UK, Chile and Brazil to the USA, as one united voice for change.
It’s not too late to help make this demand heard in your community. You can download our action pack here, with ideas on how you can act locally to support the right to be safe.
